Zakat Fitrah

HAVE YOU PAY IT

Half month we have passed in this holy month of Ramadhan. Don't ever forget that in this holy month we have to do one other obligation, that is Zakat Fitrah.

Zakat fitrah is absolutely obliged to all of men and women muslims that meet with zakat term and condition. Fitrah means that we can just like born again without any sins in ourself.

The zakat fitrah qualification are:

1. Person who has the food or wealth surplus from his need of the night and morning of Idul Fitri.
2. The child who was born before the sun fell at the end the Ramadhan month and lived after sinking the sun
3. Be a muslim before sinking of the sun at the end of the Ramadhan and continue to be a muslim.
4. Someone dead before sinking of the sun at the end of the Ramadhan.

Zakat Fitrah that must be paid is about one sha' or approximately equal to 3,1 litre or 2,176 kg main food (flour, the date, wheat, aqith) or that normally is consumed in that area (Mazhab syafi'i and Maliki).

So, do not forget to fulfil this obligation during this Ramadhan month, because if you pay it throughout the last deadline, that is before Sholat 'Id, then it will not said that were spent zakat fitrah, but that only sedekah normally.
